What is in BurnTide?

Two active components and three trace minerals, with the amounts stated rather than glossed over.

Supplement facts — per serving (1 gummy)
Sodium2.5 mg
Calcium1 mg
Magnesium0.75 mg
Proprietary blend — apple cider vinegar, BHB salts525 mg

Reading this honestly: the mineral amounts are trace, well under one percent of adult daily reference intakes. They appear because they are the mineral half of the BHB salts, not as added nutrition. And because a 525 mg blend is shared between vinegar and BHB, the ketone content is a small fraction of what ketone research uses.

01

Apple Cider Vinegar

Twice-fermented apple juice containing roughly 5% acetic acid, with a pH around 2.5 to 3.0. It is the component with the most behind it: modest research supports a role in satiety and in blunting post-meal glucose rise. The effects reported are small and most trials are short. A gummy is a more tooth-friendly delivery route than drinking it, which is a real practical advantage.

Acidic. Regular exposure erodes tooth enamel, which does not regrow — rinse with water afterwards and wait an hour before brushing. May irritate the throat and worsen reflux. In larger amounts it can lower potassium. Interacts with insulin and other diabetes medication, diuretics, digoxin, laxatives and some blood pressure medicines.
02

BHB Salts — calcium, magnesium and sodium β-hydroxybutyrate

Beta-hydroxybutyrate is a ketone body, bound to minerals for stability. At research doses it reliably raises blood ketone levels for a few hours, and meta-analysis shows a short-term drop in blood glucose alongside. The caveat here is entirely about dose: those studies use 6 to 12 grams per serving, against a 525 mg blend shared with vinegar.

Do not expect nutritional ketosis at this amount. Raising blood ketones is not the same as burning stored body fat. Anyone with type 1 diabetes or a history of ketoacidosis should avoid ketone supplements and speak to a doctor.
03

Sodium 2.5 mg, Calcium 1 mg, Magnesium 0.75 mg

Listed because they are the mineral component of the BHB salts. For scale, adult reference intakes run to hundreds of milligrams for magnesium and around a gram for calcium, so these amounts contribute essentially nothing nutritionally. They are useful mainly as a clue to how much BHB salt the blend actually contains.
